Wednesday, August 5, 2009 - We arrived late afternoon in Auckland after saying a final goodbye to Australia. Having recovered the rental car we sailed in the Coromandel Peninsula. We made a stop in a small town for the night.
Thursday, August 6, 2009 - The morning car ride along the coast. And here we are rediscovering mountain driving (we had almost forgotten that could turn roads with long straights Australian). The journey was punctuated with magnificent views. We stopped for a walk to Cathedral Cove, a beautiful beach. Then we dipped our feet in the hot springs (or burning ...) in the range of Hot Water Beach.
Friday, August 7, 2009 - After a morning stop in Rotorua, we visited the park's volcanic Waimangu. We observed craters filled with hot water under which geysers are active. Beautiful trip. We joined in the late afternoon the city of Taupo where we could see the sunset over the lake. This is a good
crazy to find lots of nature like that. It reminds us of our little mountain scenery (and it's been awhile since we had not seen a landscape reminding us of France ...). For cons the temperature is not very high (the day is bearable but the evening ... Fortunately Glagla was enough to cover). Following the next issue!
Kisses to everyone
