Bula! (Hello in Fijian)
Last Saturday we found the heat arriving in Fiji. After a night in Nadi (the main island) we went for a tour of the islands in five days Yasawa. These 5 days were magical and we have discovered heavenly places and very friendly Fijians. After a little over an hour boat ride we went on a boat that took us to our first island Kuata. Our little bungalow was quite modest (with a view over the sea anyway) but the beach, water, the view from the top of the island, the unfailing hospitality, enchanting! We spent 2 days on this island full of swimming, sunbathing, walking, fishing boat typical for the sunset and the evening dances typical Fijian. Then we took the boat to make us a second City: Navity where we joined the hotel Korovou for 2 days. The hotel was very good. Our bungalow was also a superb sea view and especially the sunset ... And the morning we were awakened by the gentle sound of waves ... ... Paradise! During this trip we visited a typical Fijian village located on another island 30 minutes by boat. When we arrived in the village we participated in the welcoming ceremony that involves drinking a liquid rather special (it looks like muddy water ...) not terrible. But we played the game! Then we went to the local market (just 4 stalls shell necklaces spread on the ground). We then went to visit the school that was celebrating that day to celebrate the holiday starts. So there were games organized. The children were all cuter than each other and care for adults more than warm. We have the opportunity to share a typical meal (we can not tell you too what was eaten by cons ... apart from Magnoc - like on Koh Lanta ... But it's not terrible). This morning as really exciting and we really liked. The rest of our stay was Navity punctuated by swimming, snorkeling, walking along the beach, sunset on the beach, wake waves, tasting coconut (open with Julien on the beach), evening dances typical (for the occasion we have learned The Bula Dance) followed by a bonfire on the beach. Unfortunately all good things come to an end soon and we left Fiji. Here are our vacation a wonderful memory. It's really a beautiful country and we were very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and the integration of population. We lived in the Fijian for 5 days unforgettable.
Kisses
